Our Competitive Dance Program is a true commitment and accomplishment for anyone who loves dance. Join our Competitive Dance Program and be apart of a winning team. Training begins September 4, 2018 with our first Regional Competition set in Escondido, CA in March 2019, concluding in July 2019 at Nationals in Anaheim, CA. This year we plan to make new strides by achieving personal and team goals and of course breaking some hearts! All participants on the "Heartbreakers" Competitive Dance Team are required to Audition. Our next Audition will be held on September 30, 2018.

CLASSES

BEGINNING BALLET

Monday at 4:00pm
Tuesday at 4:00pm

Introduction to Ballet, this class is a Beginner Class. Pre-Requisite Creative Movement. Students will learn beginning Ballet moves and vocabulary. Will also learn history of Ballet and Foundations of Dance. Students must wear black leotard and pink tights and black or pink ballet shoes. Students will perform in Annual Showcase in December 2018 and be required to purchase a costume. Competition Team members access granted.

INTERMEDIATE BALLET

Friday at 7:00pm

Beginning Ballet class will focus on Ballet technique and build Ballet Vocabulary. Drop Ins Welcome. Com petition Dances encouraged to take this class. Students who are Registered by 10/1/2018 will participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase in December 2018. These Students will be required to purchase a Costume for the Annual Christmas Showcase.

ADVANCED CONTEMPORARY

Friday at 8:00pm

Advanced Class for students training in Contemporary Dance looking for a Drop In or just trying to improve their Technique. Class will include stretch and choreography combos. Class will be filmed and promoted on Instagram and our Website. Students will have an opportunity to Perform in our Annual Christmas Showcase in December 2018. Must be Registered By 10/01/2018. Drop In Students Not Required to Participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase.

TURNS & TECHNIQUE

Thursday at 7:30pm
Friday at 5:00pm

Students will learn proper Technique for Turns, Leaps and Tricks. Competition Team Members required to take this class or Turns & Tech Express. This Class will not participate in the Annual Christmas Showcase. Competition Team Member Access Granted. Drop Ins Welcome.

JAZZ TECH

Tuesday at 5:00PM

Jazz Tech class required for all students in a Jayda Hogue piece.

BEGINNING JAZZ

Students will learn Beginning Jazz techniques and Vocabulary. Short Combinations, Sequences, Choreography, and various tricks will be introduced. Students will also be taught a new skill each week to promote Rythym and Coordination. Introduction to Isolation and body control. Students will participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase in December 2018. Students must be registered by 10/1/2018 in order to participate and costumes will be required for purchase. Drop Ins welcome. Drop Ins not required to participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase.

INTERMEDIATE JAZZ

Wednesday at 5:30pm

Students will learn Intermediate Jazz techniques and enhance Jazz Vocabulary. Short Combinations, Sequences, Choreography, and various tricks will continue to play a huge role in this fast paced class. Students will also be taught a new skill each week to promote Rythym and Coordination. Practice Isolation and body control. Students will participate in Annual Showcase in December 2018. Students must be registered by 10/1/2018 in order to participate and costumes will be required for purchase. Drop Ins welcome. Drop Ins not required to participate in Annual Showcase. Competition Team Member Access Granted.

BEGINNING TUMBLING

Monday at 4:45pm

Beginning Tumbling helps students gain an understanding of Tumbling. Students must be able to listen and follow directions properly. In this 45 minute class, students will learn Cartwheel Round-off, Bridge, Walking Bridge, Handstand, One Handed Cartwheel, Summersault. This Class will not participate in the Annual Showcase. Competition Team Member Access Granted. Drop Ins Welcome.

INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING

Tuesdays at 8pm

Students must have all skills in Tumbling I mastered. Students will learn more advanced Tumbling techniques. Multiple Cartwheels, Back Walkover, Front Walkover, Back Handspring, Aerial, Pop-up Handstand, Webster Front Flip. This Class will not participate in the Annual Showcase. Competition Team Member Access Granted. Drop Ins Welcome.

BEGINNING HIP HOP

Thursday at 6:00pm

Students will learn basic Hip Hop techniques used in street and theater Hip Hop. Grooves, Short Combinations, New Dance Crazes will be taught each week. Students will also be taught a new skill each week to promote Rythym and Coordination. Introduction to Isolation and body control. Students will participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase in December 2018. Students must be registered by 10/1/2018 in order to participate and costumes will be required for purchase. Drop Ins welcome. Drop Ins not required to participate in our Annual Christmas Showcase.

INTERMEDIATE HIP HOP

Monday at 6:00pm

Students must have taken Hip Hop I for 1 year, Or be evaluated by the instructor prior to enrolling in this class. Students will learn intermediate Hip Hop techniques used in street and theater Hip Hop. Grooves, Short Combinations, Complex Dance techniques. Hip Hop II focuses more on feet work and more intricate movements. Students will perfect hip hop skills while learning new skills each week to promote and master Isolation and body control.
